Participants of the electricity market have a more diverse range of products that are available for trading on the day-ahead market. Market participants can also look forward to further integration of the daily market within the European region.

OKTE, a.s. decided to expand portfolio of products for the organized day-ahead market.

The most important change is ability to submit multiple orders for one business day. New block products were also added: simple orders, flexible hourly orders, linked orders and exclusive group of simple orders.

New products in the XMtrade^®/ISOT system will also support demanding trading strategies of individual market participants and thus expand trading opportunities.

SFÉRA, a.s., implemented and launched above-mentioned extensions in the system as of 31 March 2021. New products are available for market participants from the business day April 1, 2021 through all communication channels, including external interfaces.

The Slovak short-term electricity market is waiting for further significant changes. The day-ahead market is currently operated among four countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania (4MMC CZ-SK-HU-RO). From June 2021, interconnection with Multi-regional coupling (MRC) is planned and Slovakia will become a part of the European single electricity market. The change will bring increase in market liquidity and stability of the development of the wholesale market price of electricity.
