Issuing and distribution of certificates; other certification and accreditation services of Certification Authority (I.CA) in Slovak Republic.

Registration Authority (RA) sfera, a.s. is a specialized office, which is authorized to issue certificates for large community of clients who frequently use certificates in their processes - participants of electronic market who trade in electricity energy.

Fundamental functions of Registration Authority:

receiving applications for certificates
verification of applicant identity
distribution of certificates to holders

Registration of applications and prices follow the rules published here.

Participants in electronic electricity market are allowed to use simple form of electronic signature (i.e. it is not required to use guaranteed form of electronic signature). Customers who already have the EVPU certificate (EVPU is the highest Slovak authority for electronic signature) can use it until the expiration date. After this date, RA sfera, a.s. will substitute it by new I.CA certificate. The substitution can be made in advance; the price of new certificate will be reduced by a proportional part of validity of the former one. As SW Entrust is no longer supported, I.CA recommends to install ICA.sign (cca €1300); there is also a possibility to use QSign software (€40) - see www.ardaco.com - which is used widely in public administration in Slovak Republic
