MicroStation is a basic building block of the Bentley solution which allows engineers, architects, GIS professionals, constructors and owner-operators to fully control engineering data by their creation, management and preparation for further distribution, including incorporation of the management of related information.

Actual release MicroStation V8i comes with some changes and improvements. Highlights include: dynamic views, display styles, activation of reference file, geo-coordination tools, support of WMS, print organizer, 3D modeling tools, Luxology renderer technology preview.

The so called engineering configurations are a part of each license. These are professionally oriented application solutions with a variety of specific functions focused on the following areas:
